Recipes

Pooh and the Gang love to have picnics and eat yummy treats, so we have decided to share some of our favorite things with you!

Eeyore's Candied Apples

  • 8-10 Wooden Skewers
  • 8-10 Medium Crisp Red Apples, at room temperature(ie. Red Delicious, Winesap, Jonathan, Mcintosh)
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Food Coloring
  • 3-5 drops Clove Oil (optional)

Butter cookie sheet generously. Thoroughly wash and dry apples. Insert wooden skewers in the stem end of each apple. Mix sugar, water, corn syrup, and food coloring in 2-quart heavy suacepan. Heat to boiling over high-heat; reduce heat. Boil gently, without stirring, to 290 on candy thermometer or until small amount of mixture dropped into very cold water separates into threads that are hard but not brittle. Stir in clove oil. Dip apples quickly into syrup, twirling until completely coated. Stand on cookie sheet; cool and serve!

For Microwave: Mix sugar, water, corn syrup, and food coloring into 1 1/2 quart microwavable glass container. Microwave uncovered on high 19-23 minutes, stirring once after 5 minutes, to 290 on microwave candy thermometer or until small amount of mixture dropped into very cold water separates into threads that are hard but not brittle. Stir in clove oil. Dip apples quickly into syrup, twirling until completely coated. Stand on cookie sheet; cool and serve!

NOTES: Pour any remaining syrup onto buttered cookie sheet; let cool; break into small pieces for a sweet treat.

Tigger's Dirt Dessert

  • 16 ounces Gummi Worms
  • 20 ounces Crushed Oreo Cookies
  • 12 ounces Cool Whip
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese
  • 4 ounce box Vanilla or Chocolate Pudding
  • 3 1/2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Butter or Margarine

Cream butter or margarine, cream cheese, sugar all together; set aside for later. In a large bowl, mix pudding and milk; add cool whip, mix; add cream cheese, mix. Fill in small cups or thoroughly washed flower pots, add pudding mixture, next cookie crumbs, then gummi worms. Sprinkle more cookie crumbs on top to give the effect of worms crawling in dirt. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours. If desired, insert plastic flowers to create the effect of a flower pot. Add a few more gummi worms and serve!
